The International Sisterhood Retreat is an annual event held in January during the Martin Luther King, Jr holiday weekend for the purpose of encouraging the empowerment of international members in the Farwest Region. The Retreat is hosted by the international chapters (Okinawa, Republic of Korea (ROK), and Tokyo Alumnae) on a rotating basis with the assistance of the other two chapters.
More than a retreat, ISR provides a unique opportunity for Sorors serving and living abroad to strengthen the bonds of sisterhood, develop and enhance leadership skills, exchange chapter best practices, engage in meaningful service, and address the unique opportunities and challenges associated with sustaining Delta’s mission in an international setting. It creates a space where Sorors can learn from one another, celebrate our diverse experiences and host cultures, reconnect with our shared values, and renew our commitment to scholarship, service, social action, and sisterhood.
